My Visit to St. Lucia

I stayed in the town of Gros Islet near the city of Castries, which was a 2 hour drive from Hewanorra International airport, nothing like driving on the edge of rocky hills looking 50 feet down to get the trip started. St. Lucia is literally a land made up of mountains; it’s actually the mountainous in the entire Caribbean. Definitely some thing to see is the giant Pitons Mountains down by the town of Soufriere, (Best way to get there is by boat) The pitons are their national landmark and the name of their choice of beer. If you’re into seafood you won't have a problem here, the food of St. Lucia is made up of classic west Indian, Creole and French culture with dishes like salt fish callaloo soup and fried codfish, and when your laying on that beach and hotel staff asks “can I get you something to drink?” make sure you tell them you want a Passion Honey Shandy...The best months to go to St. Lucia are May, September & December.
